A/Prof Ta is awarded an equipment grant from Griffith Sciences to build a Blood Viscoelastometry and Flow Analyser Facility. The facility is located at Nathan campus, School of Environment and Science, and consists of a ClotPro and a Transonic Flowmeter.
ClotPro is a 6 channel viscoelastometry analyzer, designed for the rapid analysis of whole blood coagulation. ClotPro offers cutting edge coagulation assays.
Transonic Flowmeter can be used to measure perivascular blood flow in a single blood essel from a range of animal species as well as measuring tubing fluid flow. It provides a complete flow analysis with high accurate volume flow measurement. It is suitable for acute or chronic studies, any vessel type, and for a range of animal species from mice through to pigs and sheep and even fish.
