Dr Shebbrin Moonshi and the team were awarded a New Researcher Grant at Griffith University

Dr Shebbrin Moonshi, postdoctoral research fellow in Ta group, was awarded a New Researcher Grant from Griffith University to work on “Drug-loaded nanoparticles based on polysuccinimide for the treatment of cancer and cardiovascular diseases”. The team includes Dr Shebbrin Moonshi, Dr Yuao Wu, Mr Hossein Adelnia and A/Prof Hang Ta (as supervisor/mentor).

The grant values at $14,285 AUD and will be used within 2021-2022. The team will develop polysuccinimide based nanoparticles for theranostics of (1) cancer, (2) vascular calcification and also (3) inflammatory diseases. The fund provides support for the team to generate preliminary data as foundation to apply for future external competitive grants and fellowships.
